Conceptual Art : Artistic movement emerged in the 60s and part of the great family of Contemporary Art. Its origins date back to Marcel Duchamp and his famous ready-mades from the early twentieth century. Trough this approach, a Work of Art can be defined only by the concept or idea rather than its simple aesthetic properties.
Contemporary Art : All practices and achievements of artistits claiming « as tep in the progression of Avant-garde». Otherwise by convention, the term refers to teh art of the 60s to today, Pop-Art marking a break with Modern Art.
Found Art: Artistic movement that consist into taking found objects modified or not, out of their original context, to create art.
Happening : The term was used first bu the French in 1953 and refers to a performance, event or situation which can be regarded as art. The happening differs from a simple performance by its spontaneous nautre and the fact that it requires the active participation of the public.
Installation : Type of work emerged in the 60’s combining various media (painting, sculpture, photography, projection, lighting…etc) to modify the experienceof a viewer within a singular space or specific circumstances.
Ready-Made: Creation with an object with a non-artistic function, proclaimed artwork by the artist. The object becomes a piece of art because the artist decided that it is.
